Dog sledding Expedition

Have you always dreamed of experiencing a real adventure? Then you’re in the right place with us! Join us on an expedition you won’t forget anytime soon. Drive your own sled with a team of experienced sled dogs through the untouched wilderness of the Vindelfjällen Nature Reserve, the largest national park in Sweden!

What you can expect from a dog sledding expedition in Sweden?

We want to offer you the ultimate adventure, so during the tour, you will lead your own sled dog team. But don’t worry, we’ll teach you everything you need to know about the dogs beforehand, and throughout the entire tour, you’ll be accompanied by an experienced guide (see below).

You’ll camp out, just like the great explorers and polar researchers such as Nansen or Amundsen did, in tents. An experience you won’t soon forget!

We’ll provide for ourselves the entire time, placing great importance on using regional products.

Our Guides for the Expedition

The team will be led by world champion Petter Karlsson himself. Petter has been active in dog sledding for over 20 years and has won many titles, including the European Championship, the Grand Odyssee in France, and four times the Finnmarkslopet, the longest sled dog race in Europe. Since Petter will also be racing in the upcoming season, we have engaged two other experienced guides for this year’s tours: Julie and Gabri. Both have extensive experience in dog sledding in Sweden, Norway, and Finland and have participated in numerous races. They will teach you the basics of mushing, share their secrets with you, and treat you to incredible stories about winter with dogs in Lapland!

Can Everybody Do the dog sledding Expedition?

In general, anyone can become an adventurer; you don’t need prior experience with sled dogs to join the expedition. On the expeditions, we venture deep into the Vindelfjällen Nature Reserve, often reaching places that are only accessible by dog sled. Therefore, it is necessary that you have a very good fitness level, as you will often need to help your dogs by pushing the sled. Additionally, our tours are conducted in English, so it’s important that you have a solid command of the language.

If you’re unsure whether you meet these requirements, feel free to contact us, and we’ll figure it out together!
