Dog Sledding Tour in Sweden
Drive your own sled, led by some of the best huskies in the world, through the Vindelfjällen Nature Reserve, the largest national park in Sweden. In a small group of up to 4 guests, you’ll experience the untouched nature of Lapland, with our guide leading you to places only accessible by dog sled. We’ll stay overnight in our Wilderness Cabins, which add to the charm of a true explorer’s journey, as there’s no electricity or running water. The tour takes on a real sense of adventure, with the flicker of candlelight and the crackling of wood in the stove making everyone feel like true explorers.
What to Wear on a Dog Sledding Tour?
It can get pretty cold here in the winter, but you won’t need to pack or buy too much, as we provide the essential clothing: a winter overall, winter boots, and thick mittens. You only need to bring what you’ll wear under this outer layer, such as thermal underwear or a fleece sweater. You can find a complete packing list here.
Can Everybody Join a Dogsledding Winter Holiday?
You don’t need any previous experience to join our husky tours in Lapland. We’re excited to teach you everything about sled dogs! However, since we spend a lot of time outdoors and there are a few hills where you’ll need to help your team push the sled, we require an average to above-average fitness level. If you’re unsure whether your current fitness level is sufficient, feel free to reach out and we’ll figure it out together 🙂
Please note that our tours are conducted in English, so a good level of language proficiency is important.
